Gingerbread Gelato

3dl cream
1,5dl milk
1,5dl sugar
3 egg yolks
4 gingerbreads
extra cinnamon and gingerbread spice

Jaana-Mari´s own recipe:
Bring the cream, milk and half of the sugar to a boil. Whisk the egg yolks with the rest of the sugar in a bowl. Cafefully add some of the hot liquid into the eggs to avoid clotting. Put everything back to the pan and heat for awhile, just to thicken the liquid. Let it all cool and add the crushed gingerbreads and extra spices. Whip up with the ice cream maker and decorate with more crushed gingerbreads.

Honey Gelato

Honey Gelato with Peck´s orange honey and some freshly squeezed orange juice. Jaana-Mari´s first experimentation with lecitin replacing some of the sugar did turn out fine with the texture, but not so perfectly with the taste with these delicate flavors. Less of it next time, or only use it with strong flavors such as dark chocolate.
